EXPERIENCE

Bruce Johnson-ARCHITECTURE was started in Asheville, NC in 1990 specializing in environmentally sensitive, custom residences. Projects range in size and style from small, rustic cabins and bungalows to large, timber-framed country estates and lodges, and have been designed for a variety of sites in the United States. Before moving to Asheville, Bruce was a principal for 10 years with Innovative Design in Raleigh, NC where he was involved with the design of several types of energy conscious commercial facilities and residences.

Bruce has a B.A. in Fine Arts from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Masters of Architecture from North Carolina State in Raleigh, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the American Solar Energy Society, and the Board of Directors for Eben-Ezer Mission in Gonaives, Haiti. He is Chairman of the Town of Biltmore Forest Design Review Committee.

The office has been kept small and workloads scheduled to give personal service throughout the project. Bruce does all the design and construction consultation as well as supervising the construction documents.
